Sapphire is an American-based Rom Gypsy who tells fortunes in Manhattan's contemporary diamond district. She and her powerful godmother Matilda are part of a secret network of couriers, moving what they believe are legally obtained gemstones around the world for their non-Gypsy client.
The scenes shift from Manhattan's diamond district to Hong Kong, San Francisco, Paris, and New Orleans as they discover an "evil eye" in their midst.
